The Bothy is terrific. It has everything you need for a great eco-friendly stay on a great island and Sue and Neil are brilliant hosts.
The location is amazing, with incredible views across to the mountains of Rum from the front of the Bothy and with the spectacular Sgorr an Fharaidh hill and rockface behind.
It’s a very short walk to the beautiful Laig Bay and Singing Sands beaches. And it’s a very nice walk to the Isle of Eigg brewery with a couple of excellent beers on draft in its taproom – unmissable if you like a nice pint.

It is simple a dream place to be. Sue is a very kind and supportive host. Will always come back.
A wonderfully peaceful little place with the most stunning views! The bothy itself was even better than the pictures- cosy and easy to keep warm. Sue and Neil were so friendly and helpful with information about ferries, and then picking us up from the pier and dropping us back. It was a pleasure to spend time on Eigg 🖤
We loved this place. The location is stunning with magical views of Rum from the front door and great walks and beaches nearby. The bothy was warm and comfy and had everything we needed. Sue and Neil were great hosts – relaxed, friendly and helpful and we very quickly felt at home.
Special mentions too for Owain at Eigg Adventures – bike hire was a breeze; for the Pier shop which is very well stocked with food and drink at very reasonable prices; and for the Pier cafe, a friendly place with delicious food.
