My husband and I stayed in this amazing bothy for 3 nights in May 2024. It exceeded all our expectations, from the welcome by Sue, the views front and back, the friendly chickens who greeted us every morning (and whose delicious eggs we enjoyed), the huge variety of walks on the island, to name a few things. I only wish we had booked to stay longer as we were very sad to leave and will definitely return one day.

I camped for four nights and it was an amazing experience. The views are second to none and drifting off to sleep with the sound of the sea and the waterfall made for a very peaceful break. Sue and Neil are lovely hosts and being surrounded by sheep, chickens and bunnies was really special. I even saw a golden eagle from the campsite! Will definitely be back.

Stayed on the very exposed top pitch for 7 nights , very challenging to conquer with Atlantic winds and storms rolling in, worth every minute tbh. Dougal is a big help if you get to chat to him , very decent chap and makes excellent Pizza on Wednesday evenings for campers and locals. The water from the exposed outside sink is the best i have ever tasted and complemented a few wee drams of Gods Holy Water , thankyou i shall return.

The Bothy is terrific. It has everything you need for a great eco-friendly stay on a great island and Sue and Neil are brilliant hosts.

The location is amazing, with incredible views across to the mountains of Rum from the front of the Bothy and with the spectacular Sgorr an Fharaidh hill and rockface behind.

It’s a very short walk to the beautiful Laig Bay and Singing Sands beaches. And it’s a very nice walk to the Isle of Eigg brewery with a couple of excellent beers on draft in its taproom – unmissable if you like a nice pint.

This is a brilliant place!
